Michigan City (IN) athlete Jaden Hart has been in the BOOM organization since he was in the 5th grade. On a weekly basis every spring he makes the two-three-hour track to Naperville, IL to compete with BOOM. Hart has been a key piece on several championship winning teams for the organization.
The class of 2024 athlete measures in at roughly 6 feet and 191 pounds. He has big hands and knows how to use his frame to box out defenders.
On Tuesday evening years of hard work came to fruition when Iowa State University extended a scholarship offer to him. He was offered after a strong showing at their first camp of the year.
“It feels amazing. Makes me feel good that all my hard work has paid off, but I am still hungry because this is just the beginning,” said Hart.
Now the time has come for Hart to hit the camp circuit full steam ahead in order to show more college coaches that he can compete at the next level.
“I’m looking to get knowledge from all the coaches heading into these camps.
“I need to compete and ball out to show colleges that I can do what they need me to do.”
During the month of June, Hart will be traveling to nearly a dozen college camps to showcase his skills.
“I’ll be camping as a running back but also taking some reps in the slot as a receiver.”
One of the camps he is most excited to participate in is being held on the campus of Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish hold a special place to him and his family since they are their local team.
“I’m from Indiana and used to go to their games growing up, Jaylon Smith is my favorite player, and he went to Notre Dame.”
During his freshman season at Michigan City High School, he tailed up over 300 receiving yards on 20 receptions. He was the only freshman at his school to play in every varsity game this fall.
Prior to entering the prep ranks he had an outstanding youth career. Hart was named the MVP of the Diamond Sports and Pro Football Hall of Fame All-American Games as an 8th grader.
Hart will be competing later this month at the NFA 7v7 National Championship in Bradenton, Florida with the rest of his 15u teammates. The group has won two championships this spring and are one of the early favorites to take home the title.
