Future Stars Capture Both Pylon Dallas Championships

The Midwest BOOM traveled to Dallas, TX this past weekend to complete at the first 7-on-7 event since the COVID-19 pandemic began. BOOM was able to capture championships in both the 14u and 15u brackets of the tournament.

The 14u championship marked the 65th trophy that the BOOM program has won in the past 8 years. BOOM Purple got off to an early lead when Tyler Bush connected with I’Marion Stewart in the endzone for the first score of the game. After a quick three and out stop by the defense Bush fired his second of the day to Alonzo Manning. After securing the early lead against ICE, BOOM never looked back and were crowned champions.

The final game of the 15u tournament was a thrilling matchup between BOOM and ESA Flight from St. Louis, MO. Quarterback Cole Tescher came into his own during the finals, his hot hand was the difference maker. He made accurate throws and let his receivers run in the open field with the ball in their hands. The nail in the coffin came when Jake Stearney connected with Carter Stare in the open field with less than 10 minutes to go. Stare made the highlight of the tournament by scoring a touchdown and proceeding to do a front flip in the endzone.
