Phillips' 2019 TE, Jahleel Billingsley, Discusses Purdue Offer

Phillips High School Class Of 2019 Tight End Jahleel Billingsley recently received his first offer from Purdue University. Standing at 6'5" 227 pounds, Jahleel carries all the physical attributes of a potential dominate Big Ten Tight End. He is deceptively fast for his size, with great acceleration, and the ability to catch the ball away from his body.

Jahleel spent his off season in the weight room and perfecting his craft as a Tight End. He went down to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida to compete with the Midwest BOOM at the 7v7 National Championships. "Nationals was a great experience. It was very fast paced and of course tough, but it was fun going up against all the top recruits around the world", Billingsley said.

After Phillips camp yesterday is when Jahleel got the news. "Coach Levine (Purdue Tight Ends Coach) was talking to me and asked if I had any offers" Jahleel stated. "I told him no but he told me I now have an offer from Purdue."

With this being somewhat of a dead period in recruiting, Jahleel did not see this coming. "My first offer feels unreal, I thought I was dreaming".

Jahleel knows Purdue for their great players such as Drew Brees and Bob Griese. He is excited about learning more about the program.
